RTO Audit Services

We provide RTO audit services and support to ensure your RTO is ready for ASQA’s scrutiny.

Express Audit

RTO Works offers an Express Audit service that covers up to two qualifications. This involves a review of documents which relate to all aspects of the student journey. This includes:

  • Marketing and student recruitment
  • Enrolment
  • Training and assessment
  • Student support
  • Regulatory compliance and governance

Once we have completed our Express Audit, clients receive a written report summarising our findings. An Express RTO Audit from RTO Works is a great way to monitor compliance and to check whether your RTO’s compliance health is on track.

For RTO Works members, the Express Audit service is provided at no additional cost, helping you maintain compliance and confidence in your operations. For more information about our memberships, please refer to the memberships information provided.

Internal Audit

During our Internal Audit service, our compliance consultants review internal processes, dDuring our Internal Audit service, our compliance consultants review your RTO’s internal processes, documentation, and personnel, each a critical component in preparing for a regulatory audit. We help ensure your organisation is on track and audit ready.

Our service includes:

  • Preparation for the internal audit, including the development of a tailored internal audit plan
  • Conducting the internal audit
  • Providing a comprehensive internal audit report, including findings and actionable recommendations, and discussing these with you
  • Liaison with you and your team throughout the audit process

Internal Audits can be conducted in-person at your RTO or remotely via our secure desktop access process. Please note that in-person audits may incur additional travel costs.

We recommend engaging our Internal Audit service, preferably 12 months and at least six months prior to any known regulatory audits, allowing ample time to implement recommended actions. Alternatively, Internal Audits can be scheduled routinely to help you proactively manage compliance, address potential issues early, and ensure your RTO is always prepared for regulatory review.

Due Diligence Audit

If you are considering purchasing an RTO, our Due Diligence Audit service provides a comprehensive assessment to ensure you understand exactly what you are acquiring.

Change of ownership events can trigger audits and scrutiny from ASQA, and a Due Diligence Audit helps you prepare by giving a full picture of the RTO’s compliance health and recommendations for any necessary changes.

Our Due Diligence Audits include all the components of our Internal Audits, with additional considerations such as:

  • The compliance history of the RTO
  • The scope of registration
  • Recent student delivery data
