RTO Works Compliance Policy

At RTO Works, we stand behind the quality and compliance integrity of the training and assessment resources we develop.

We understand that Registered Training Organisations operate in a regulated environment, and compliance confidence is essential. This Compliance Promise is designed to provide peace of mind that our resources are built with audit-readiness in mind.

1. Our Commitment

If an RTO Works training and assessment resource is reviewed during an ASQA audit and is formally questioned for compliance, we will provide support at no additional cost, provided the resource has been used as supplied.

2. What We Promise

Where the purchased RTO Works resource has not been altered beyond minor formatting changes, we will do one of the following:

Option A — Rectification Support

If the resource is found to be non-compliant, we will rectify and update the resource to address the
compliance concern.

Option B — Audit Response Support

Where appropriate, we will prepare a written response addressing and challenging the audit finding, for inclusion in your submission to ASQA.

The chosen response option will be determined at RTO Works’ discretion based on the nature of the audit feedback and supporting evidence.

3. What “Used as Supplied” Means

You may make minor formatting and branding adjustments only, including:

  • adding your organisation’s logo and branding
  • updating headers, footers, page numbers, or contact details
  • formatting changes that do not alter the content

The training and assessment content itself must not be:

  • rewritten, removed, edited, or substituted supplemented with additional assessment content
  • merged or combined with external third-party resources
  • modified in a way that changes intent, mapping, assessment conditions, or evidence requirements

If content has been modified, this Compliance Promise will no longer apply.

4. What We Require From You

To assess eligibility under this Compliance Promise, you must provide:

  • a copy of the exact training and assessment resource submitted at audit
  • the relevant extract(s) of the ASQA audit report referencing the compliance concern
  • any related correspondence from ASQA relevant to the finding

5. Timeframes

Once all required documentation has been received, RTO Works will:

  • review the materials, and
  • provide a response within two (2) weeks.

If additional time is required due to complexity, you will be notified.

6. When This Promise Does Not Apply

This Compliance Promise does not apply where:

  • resources have been modified beyond minor branding/formatting
  • resources have been combined with other materials
  • the audit issue relates to delivery or implementation rather than the resource itself
  • the audit issue relates to assessment practices, validation, governance systems, trainer/assessor competence, learner evidence, or RTO operations
  • regulatory requirements or training package requirements changed after supply and the customer did not engage updates or purchase the updated version
  • the issue relates to incorrect unit selection or outdated use of superseded resources

7. Your Responsibility

RTO Works provides compliant resources; however, all RTOs remain responsible for:

  • correct implementation and delivery
  • maintaining ongoing compliance
  • version control and resource currency
  • ensuring staff apply assessment conditions correctly
  • validation, moderation, and evidence retention requirements
